Now Accepting Applications for the 2026–2027 School Year
Program Start: September 2026
The Gitxsan Wet’suwet’en Education Society (GWES) offers the Adult Dogwood Graduation Program for adult learners who are ready to return to school, complete their secondary education, and work toward their BC Adult Graduation Diploma (Adult Dogwood).
This program is designed for adult students who may not have completed high school, need to upgrade credits, or are seeking a supportive, culturally grounded learning environment that respects lived experience, responsibilities, and personal growth.
What the Adult Dogwood Program Offers
- A supportive and respectful learning environment for adult learners
- Small class sizes with individualized support
- Academic upgrading and graduation requirements aligned with BC Ministry of Education standards
- Opportunities to learn in community, with cultural and land-based components woven throughout programming
- Pathways toward employment, post-secondary education, or personal goals
Our approach recognizes that learning does not follow a single path. We honour where each student is coming from and walk alongside them as they work toward graduation.
